For some reason, I can’t really last long with a dark theme. I love lighter ones, white if possible. This goes the same for my life. I have been in and out of depression. Sometimes it lasts longer than the other ones. But at the end of the day, whenever I see my loved ones, I know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. There will always be love and laughter waiting for me.

Las Vegas is more than what I expected it to be. I felt an overwhelming love for all my relatives who welcomed me after years of not seeing them in person. Food and drinks have been in abundance, you wouldn’t even know that there is a crisis going on. They really gave their all, I tell you. My kids have been thrilled to meet their other relatives and had not even asked for mama, not once. You could see that my parents and my brother were all in element. It was a reunion that was simple yet brimming with love.

Visiting the relatives is equivalent to being toured to each and every one of their houses. I love how every one of my relatives have been blessed with a great home. I even took note of an aunt’s bathroom fixtures. It will be perfect for my home. There was also those gorgeous lamps and a divan that I will look for here in the country. I got a lot of great ideas that I can apply here at home.

I know most of you can relate to what I am about to write here. I just love spending time with my family and relatives. I love joking around with my brother and my cousins. This is also the best time to catch up with the relatives that I haven’t seen for a number of years already, having lived elsewhere for a period of time. Yes, I did keep in touch with them through phone calls and emails. But there’s nothing more fun than to chat with them personally.

If you have been a regular reader of my posts, you might remember the cousin I was telling you about, the one who got jilted and is now here in the country to recuperate. He is currently staying with my brother and is setting up his clinic here. He is taking care of a lot of things so while he is staying here indefinitely, he can practice his profession. He is a medical doctor.

Since we would like to help him get over what happened to him, we are thinking of organizing a masquerade theme party for him. With so many cousins from both sides of the family, it is not surprising to find us attending one birthday party after another. This coming weekend is cousin Rick’s birthday shindig. It will be an all-day long party event because the kids will start celebrating the party in the morning. There will be clowns and magicians around to entertain the kids, and the kids at heart. There will be brunch and of course, the real party is in the evening. Rick even hired a party planner just to make sure that there is nothing missed.
