Baby shower
I keep gifts given to me. I remember when I was pregnant with my daughter, I had two separate baby showers. One was given to me by my close friends. The other one was given to me by my family. Both were memorable and I kept all the baby shower gifts I received that time. Some I used for Anika when she was still a baby. The other gifts I let her use when she was already two years old… old enough not to eat the thing.
So when I heard that my cousin, Trina, is pregnant, you can just imagine my joy. There will be a new addition to our large family! We are all excited whenever we hear news of a new addition to the family. We love the little kids running around the house when there’s a family gathering. Little kids add to the spice of our lives, don’t you think?
When we met, family and relatives, last weekend for our once-a-month family brunch, Trina was the center of attention. We are preparing a baby shower for her already. It was a blast, the planning, the teasing, the reminiscing (of when we were still kids)… Family is really important. And equally important are the unborn additions to us.
