Better ventilation
I had a ceiling fan installed in the dining room. I love big windows in the dining and kitchen areas. So instead of having air conditioning installed in those areas, I had ceiling fans instead. It’s better ventilation, I believe. Plus, we can open the windows if we want to and not worry about messing up the air conditioning units.
For the other rooms in the house, I had big air conditioning units installed. It can get really hot in the country so it’s better to be prepared should there be guests around.
