Yes, you read it right. I am busy as a bee right now. Trying to catch up with so many things both at work and at home. Of course, I work at home so there are many overlaps. Still, every little thing takes time to finish. I tell you, I am awake for 16 to 18 hours daily and it is never enough.

I am disappointed that the 2 tasks assigned to me was rescinded. It was a big amount but well, better luck next time. Both were due by next week but I guess they wanted me to finish it right away. I am hoping they will give it back. I really pray they do.

Anyway, I will post some more about what’s happening to me and the kids lately. In the next couple of posts

At home, we learned our love for Fine Art Landscape Photography from my dad. He loves nature. We have several fine art at home with the depiction of landscape. Those art pieces belong to my dad. He was a bit strict with me and my brother about it when we were little. We could not touch it. Otherwise, we would be leaving our fingerprints on it. Now, he is more lax when it comes to his pieces. Anika loves looking at it and he would allow her to touch it. I was the one more strict with Anika now. When a family friend visited my parents, he appraised the pieces to be three times worth more than its original price. We were shocked to hear it. But it is true. He is a curator for a museum abroad so he knows his stuff. Plus, he has a PhD in arts. He is an expert, in other words. My dad just laughed it off. The paintings and photographs have served their purpose already, he said. And even if the price went down, it does not mean anything to him. For him, the pieces are a part of his past already and he is ready to relinquish it to either my brother or me, whoever chooses it first. I did.

Visiting the relatives is equivalent to being toured to each and every one of their houses. I love how every one of my relatives have been blessed with a great home. I even took note of an aunt’s bathroom fixtures. It will be perfect for my home. There was also those gorgeous lamps and a divan that I will look for here in the country. I got a lot of great ideas that I can apply here at home.

Oh, and I will have my home-office rearranged. I also got an idea for it from my cousin’s home-office.

There is no place like home. Cliche but true. I love spending time with the family. It could either be going to other places. It could also be just hanging around the house. But wherever we are, as long as we’re together, that’s a blessing in itself.

My home is now done being renovated. There are some items that I didn’t like. The blinds have to be changed. If you have been reading my blog regularly, you’d know that I moved in with my parents. Actually, me and my kids moved to the old garage and patio of my parents’ house. A major renovation was done to the place and it is now the place we call home.

So my new home is almost done. The only left unfinished is my home office which is also our den. I am still scouting for the best and appropriate furniture for it. All I have right now is my desk and my swivel chair. I want to be able to buy comfy couches, two I think, and some bean bags where Anika can sit when she wants to. I also want the whole room carpeted as well as sound proof. I want to be able to talk to clients without the sounds from outside the room to intrude.

I have more ideas for my home office cum den and will post photos of it once it is finished.
