Changed man

While at my cousin’s, we got to talk about an old family friend who got addicted to prescription drugs. He abused it and lost everything: his family, his businesses and his money. His family, instead of sticking with him, abandoned him at a time he needed them most. He eventually went to a drug rehab facility for a year. When he went out, he’s a changed man. He did everything to get back what he lost. He started with his self-esteem. Then his businesses. When every thing’s right with his life, he started to gain back the trust of his family. And then all started uphill for him. The last that my cousin heard he’s already a successful restaurateur and his eldest is already a successful engineer at a multinational company. I guess it would have been easier for him to bounce back should his family stood by him and recognize the drug abuse early on.

It’s good that he was able to change himself with the help of rehab!
