Cousin Rick’s birthday shindig
With so many cousins from both sides of the family, it is not surprising to find us attending one birthday party after another. Just imagine, numerous cousins (first, second, third and distant ones that we are close to) will be celebrating there birthdays this coming August. At least ten of them. Of course, attendance is a must. That’s how it is with our family. We just love spending time with one another. Maybe because we live in different cities and we really don’t see each other that much unless there’s a special occasion we need to attend to. So the excitement is there.
This coming weekend is cousin Rick’s birthday shindig. It will be an all-day long party event because the kids will start celebrating the party in the morning. There will be clowns and magicians around to entertain the kids, and the kids at heart. There will be brunch and of course, the real party is in the evening. Rick even hired a party planner just to make sure that there is nothing missed. I could have told him that he could have gotten volunteer cousins and then the party ideas from Celebrations.com, a web site put up for such. Oh well, I guess this is one party where we really will just enjoy being guests.
