Chilled to the bones
It will be my godson’s first time to travel to a country where there’s snow. He is so excited about it and the teenage boy seems like a little kid about to go to the Chocolate Factory! He can’t contain his excitement over their family’s trip abroad. As a gift, I will give him down jackets at RockyMountainTrail.com. I know he needs jackets that will surely stop him getting chilled to the bones. He needs it or he will catch colds.
I remember my own travels and my first time to experience snow. It was one of a kind and I know my godson will enjoy his stay abroad. I told him to send a picture of him with a snowman. I know he will.
Quality time with the family
I always tell my friends that quantity doesn’t always translate to quality. We can have all the time in the world spent with our family but if we are just physically with them but our minds are in different places, then it still can’t be called time spent with them. We can spend two or three hours a day with the family over meals and really get to talk to them. Now that’s quality time!
It made me happy to hear from a friend whom I haven’t seen in so long. She and her husband were in the area getting a motor home repair when they dropped by for some chit chat with me. I learned that their family was in a sabbatical of sorts for the past year and all because I mentioned to my friend how good it would be to spend a year with the family not worrying about work or anything else but just being with them and getting to know each family member more.
I wish our family can go on a ‘sabbatical’ of our own. Can you imagine now work for a year? Bliss!
Sharing recipes
I am deliberating whether to include easy and simple recipes in this blog. A friend told me to do so and I am seriously considering it.
You know how it is with working moms and how hectic their lives are. Taking care of the family, doing household chores, running errands and some other stuff in between is not easy. Throw in cooking meals and I tell you, working moms are superwomen!
So let me ask you this: do you want to see easy and simple recipes in this blog of mine? If so, let me know your thoughts and I just might start sharing this week.
What to wear?
The Rehearsal Dinner Invitations were already sent out and me and my other female cousins are already busy choosing what to wear. I will be part of the wedding entourage and since in our family it’s common that relatives act as part of the entourage, my female cousins and I are talking to one another so we can coordinate what we will wear.
A cousin who’s been a widow for a long time will be getting married. She has no child of her own and was only married for a year when her husband was killed while on duty. He’s a soldier. She’s been grieving for him for years and since she’s still young, we were so happy when she announced that she’s ready to move on and give love a second chance. That was a year ago and now we are busy preparing for the coming nuptials. We are all beside ourselves with happiness!
Tres Marias
I need to find christmas gifts for her. And by her I am referring to my three cousins who are actually triplets! They are in their teens and I am finding it hard to think of what to give them this coming Christmas. Good thing there are gift ideas that I found online.
I feel like I am getting old. It’s becoming harder and harder for me to relate to this generation. But I am trying and thank you to the world wide web for making it possible for me.
I just wish what I will get for the tres marias of the family will be the stuff they like.
Habit for buyers
One of the things that I wish buyers will make a habit of is to read product reviews. Do you know how important that is?
Take for example this one time I had to buy a new air conditioning unit. The one we had broke down and since the unit was more than ten years old, I was advised by our repair man to get a new unit instead. I wanted to try a new brand so I searched and read reviews by users. Do you know what I learned? I am better off with my old brand!
If I just went to the store to buy a new brand of air conditioner, can you imagine how much I would have regretted it? A lot!
