Running an errand and getting promoted

It was funny how my mom cajoled my brother into buying faucets for her. My brother was all set for his business meeting when my mom called him up to ask him to run an errand for her. My brother, not knowing when to say no to my mom, went and bought the faucets she needed. As a reward of sorts, my mom gave him a big casserole of home-made pasta that he can share with his team at work. He was late for the meeting with his bosses. But I believe my brother ended up getting promoted and serving the pasta as a way of saying thanks to his team. Who would’ve thought everything will work out fine?
